Anniversary

We're nearing our 3rd year anniversary. I wonder what the plan will be for that day. We will have been married for 3 years and together as a couple a grand total of 9 years! It seems like yesterday when we met and got together. *sigh

Frustrations

Ok, I am officially stressed and frustrated. Why does everything cost so much? And these are basic things at that! My daughter needs vaccines to be better equipped against diseases. I see this as a basic human need and thus it should be easier to obtain. But vaccines are sooooo expensive! I don't even know why this is so. In other countries, vaccines are free. Why aren't they free here? Another thing- food. This is beginning to be priced as a "luxury good". Imaging the cost of meat, fish, even vegetables is so high now it's no wonder there are strikes for increasing the minimum wage. At this rate, the average person will have to create a kangkong pond in their garden to be assured of some form of sustenance. It's ridiculous. I can go on and on but I think i'll just stop here. I am so frustrated!

Near Valentine's Day

It's near the day of hearts and anyone who knows me knows that this is one of my mandatory 4 days in a year for celebration and gifts. I know, I know. A lot of people find this day so commercialized and consider it a money-making day for establishments more than anything else. Frankly, I don't care. I really believe I have a hopeless romantic hidden somewhere deep inside of me and that hopeless romantic looooves expressions of love and romance. And so I am hoping my hubby does something for me. It really doesn't have to be expensive or extravagant. It could be the simplest thing just to be romantic. Let's keep our fingers crossed!!

(By the way, the picture beside looked like how I want my hubby to be on Valentine's.)

New Beginnings

I am so thrilled. I have been thinking for some time now about a change in what I've been doing work-wise. Thing is, I've always thought that there really wasn't much else I could be doing in the office as there are no new openings as far as I know. Fortunately, Livi was two steps ahead yet again and had a great alternative for me. I'm now going to be dealing with QA processes - documentation and improvement. For someone who loves flowcharts and organizing, documenting, and improvement, this is really something up my alley. I am thrilled. I hope I do a good job.

Resolutions

At the beginning of every year I try to list down at least 3 resolutions. I always tell myself that by the end of the year I will have to have resolved at least 2 of the 3. So far, my results have been good. Whereas I only completed around 30% during the first year of my marriage, last year I was able to reach 50%. So for this year I am determined to resolve more than half of what I will be listing down today. I am challenged.

1. Lose weight. I have to be 50 pounds lighter by my daughter's 1st birthday.
2. Invest. I have to have 1-2 investments by the end of the year.
3. Save. I have to have my son's, daughter's, and my personal savings accounts up and running with respectable balances by the end of the year.
4. Find alternative sources of income. I have to have at least 2 other sources of funds.
5. Improve my job skills.
6. Finish/Complete all my job goals by the end of the year.

I think this is a pretty reasonable list. I hope that I will be able to make all these things happen.
