Realistic , Romantic, or Neither?

A friend mentioned something a few minutes ago that got me thinking.

With the ultimate goal of peace, harmony, and working well all around in mind...here's the question:

Is the pretense of friendship better to work with than the reality of war?

I'm curious. What do you think?

Hello there. Do you know I had never looked upon friendship in the way the post has made me to and I would have been in a better position to answer that question had I completed one the books I'm currently reading, war and peace or may be it will have no relevance but this is really interesting and I admire you for what you do. I see you love reading but have you ever read or seen the master and margarita? I would like to return here?

btw: see you soon

Whoa. This is weird. Right after I published my last post, I went to your blog and saw your title - "realistic, romantic, or neither". It kind of ties in (though not exactly) with what I wrote just a few minutes before.

The words you used were so related to what was going on in my mind.

This is FREAKY.

To answer your question though - I wouldn't want to pretend. I'd prefer a good and honest fight.

To me, pretending is so much more draining than fighting.

Hmm, good question, Vicki. I have never been good at pretending but then again, you don't have to pretend to like people to work with them...you get my drift?

Red Eyes, I don't know the book but I do love reading. I would love some suggestions. Feel free to come back anytime.

Yanka, I think the title of my post was the thing most in common with your post. And pretending is draining but so is strife. Don't you think?

Cynthia, I'll email you. Thanks!

Between the two, I still consider pretending more draining. But those aren't the only two options, right?

There's genuine compromise too. :-P It's harder work though.

I agree with Yanka! Sorry Vicki, I just read this. I think in a work environment, war is just NOT an option.I would like to consider myself a romantic but come to think of it, compromise is not a romantic idea.
